System Overview & Architecture सिस्टम अवलोकन एवं आर्किटेक्चर

The CBT Examination System is a standalone on-premises web application engineered for institutions to conduct tests over a local Wi-Fi or wired LAN network with zero external internet requirement.

  • Server Architecture: FastAPI + Uvicorn + SQLite asynchronous engine binding to 0.0.0.0:8000.
  • Real-Time Synchronization: WebSockets deliver instant student status updates, tab-switch alerts, and master control commands.
  • Client Agnostic: Any modern browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) connects directly. Zero installation needed on student machines!

CBT परीक्षा प्रणाली एक आधुनिक ऑफ़लाइन परीक्षा सॉफ्टवेयर है, जो बिना इंटरनेट के संस्थान के लोकल वाई-फाई या लैन नेटवर्क पर 100% सुरक्षित रूप से परीक्षा आयोजित करता है।

  • इंटरनेट की कोई आवश्यकता नहीं: परीक्षा के दौरान ब्रॉडबैंड या डेटा पैक की कोई ज़रूरत नहीं होती।
  • किसी भी डिवाइस पर समर्थित: कंप्यूटर लैब के पीसी, लैपटॉप, टैबलेट या मोबाइल पर बिना किसी ऐप के केवल ब्राउज़र से परीक्षा दी जा सकती है।

When installing Python from python.org, you MUST check the box: [x] Add python.exe to PATH at the bottom of the installer window!

Extract the Setup Folder: सेटअप फ़ोल्डर अनज़िप करें:
Unzip CBT_Setup.zip to a permanent folder like C:\CBT_Setup or D:\cbt.

Double-Click setup_and_install.bat: setup_and_install.bat पर डबल-क्लिक करें:
The script automatically creates an isolated virtual environment (`venv`), installs all dependencies, and launches the server.

Browser Opens Setup Page: ब्राउज़र में सेटअप पेज खुलेगा:
The portal opens to http://localhost:8000/setup to register your institution.

Institute Registration & Branding संस्थान पंजीकरण एवं ब्रांडिंग

On the /setup screen, enter your school or college information:

  • Institute Name: e.g., "Apex Academy of Science & Technology"
  • Center Address: Full campus address and pin code
  • Contact Phone & Email: Official exam desk contact numbers
  • Custom Admin Password: Set your secure administrator password (default is admin123)

Your branding automatically watermarks all student exam screens, admit cards, and PDF report cards!

Daily Server Startup दैनिक रूप से सर्वर चालू करना

For daily operation after the initial installation, simply double-click run_cbt.bat.

प्रारंभिक इंस्टॉलेशन के बाद, रोज़ाना सॉफ्टवेयर चलाने के लिए बस run_cbt.bat पर डबल-क्लिक करें।

Local Network (Wi-Fi / LAN) & Firewall Unblock लोकल नेटवर्क (Wi-Fi/LAN) एवं फ़ायरवॉल सेटिंग्स

Ensure all student PCs, laptops, and mobiles are connected to the same Wi-Fi router or switch as the host server PC.

सुनिश्चित करें कि सभी छात्र कंप्यूटर/मोबाइल और सर्वर पीसी एक ही वाई-फाई या लैन नेटवर्क से जुड़े हैं।

Quick Firewall Port 8000 Rule (Run in PowerShell as Administrator): फ़ायरवॉल में पोर्ट 8000 खोलने की 1-क्लिक कमांड (PowerShell Admin में चलाएँ):

Students connect by opening http://<SERVER_IP>:8000 in their browser, or by scanning the on-screen QR code from the Admin Dashboard. छात्र अपने ब्राउज़र में http://<SERVER_IP>:8000 खोलते हैं अथवा एडमिन डैशबोर्ड में दिए गए क्यूआर कोड को स्कैन करते हैं।
